About the Guild |
|||||||||||||||||||
The Guild members are a group of women and
men with a variety of backgrounds and interests, but all with one
common passion knitting in its many forms, traditions and
fashions. Members may have been knitting only a few months or for
more than 50 years all are welcome to share and learn.
We meet formally once a month on the second Saturday from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm. Meetings are held at the St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 11555 National Blvd. (corner of Federal and National) in Los Angeles, CA 90064. Except when we have a workshop or special activity. Please check the Calendar. A "Skill & Technique Session" comes before the general meeting from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. We also have informal groups who meet to knit together on a more frequent basis and at other locations. Each monthly meeting includes a short workshop presented by a Guild member. At least twice a year, the Guild brings in guest teachers for 1-2 day intensive workshops on a particular aspect of knitting. Annual membership dues of $35 are due October 1 of each year. Membership benefits include participation in workshops and a subscription to the monthly newsletter. Sand and Sea Knitting Guild is a member of The Knitting Guild Association, the
national knitting guild organization. |
